Market-leading organisation launches a world first for external events
Audiebant today announces the release of Audiebant Outdoor, the world’s first solar-powered, portable, app-driven mass communication system designed specifically for outdoor events. Formulated to provide swift and area-specific instructions to manage crowds, it helps to ensure public safety in emergencies including potential terrorist incidents.
Ideal for concerts, sporting events, festivals and other public gatherings, Audiebant Outdoor allows for both live text-to-speech and pre-recorded messages to be broadcast instantly to multiple zoned areas. Unlike tannoys and PA systems, this allows event organisers to direct specific groups of attendees to specific exits or safe zones during critical incidents.
Powered by solar energy in low-light conditions and a battery backup for 10 days of continuous operation, the solution is moveable, adaptable, resilient and cost-effective for any event location.
AI-driven communications ensure calm, clear and concise messaging to reduce fear and confusion, and messages can be initiated by an unlimited number of authorised users from any location using a mobile device or computer.
Martyn’s Law in the UK, which is currently under consultation with the government, will likely require events venues to have comprehensive communication strategies in place to respond to terrorist threats and other emergencies when it is introduced. Audiebant Outdoor’s specifications will meet this potential requirement.
Alongside emergency applications, the system can be pre-programmed to play health and safety information, event updates, promotional messages or background music. This improves the customer experience by providing helpful information, such as last train times and which exits to use. It offers event organisers new revenue streams by displaying customisable promotional signage and broadcasting sponsor messages in order to generate additional income, offset costs and potentially make a profit.
The solution has been successfully trialled at major global sporting events, by local councils and by the police for crowd control purposes. At a classic car rally, Audiebant Outdoor was used by local authorities to manage parking issues effectively and clear illegally parked vehicles in a matter of minutes. It is built on Audiebant’s technology which is already widely used in schools, colleges, hospitals and within commercial premises.
“Audiebant Outdoor serves as state of the art mass communication tool for use during a terrorist attack or any other emergency situation, aligning with upcoming legislation and current guidance from the National Protective Security and Counter Terrorism Policing. But it’s also an all-in-one solution for event organisers looking to streamline operations, generate new income streams and enhance customer experiences,”
Says Josh Dean, CEO, Audiebant.
