This week, the team headed to Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre for one of the most important dates in the UK security calendar — The Security Event 2026. Three days, one roof, and thousands of conversations that reminded us exactly why the work we do at Audiebant matters so much right now.
The Biggest Show in UK Security
The Security Event is the UK’s leading exhibition for the commercial, enterprise and domestic security sectors, and this year it did not disappoint. It brought together over 17,000 professionals and more than 450 exhibitors under one roof, created by the industry for the industry — providing a dedicated platform for manufacturers, distributors, installers, integrators, consultants and end users to connect, learn and do business. The 2026 edition marked the 7th edition of the Safety & Security Event Series, with a show floor expanding into a new exhibition hall to accommodate escalating demand. Security Institute + 2
For Audiebant, it was the ideal environment to showcase what we do and connect with the professionals navigating an increasingly urgent safety landscape.
Stand 5/B55
Our team was on Stand 5/B55, where we demonstrated Audiebant’s Mass Communication and Lockdown solution — delivering instant emergency alerts via audio, visual and mobile channels for educational, NHS, government and corporate sectors. With AI text-to-speech and zoning for targeted messaging, the platform supports both critical incidents and day-to-day communication, adhering to Counter Terrorism Policing guidelines. Audiebant
Whether it was school safeguarding leads, NHS estate managers or corporate security directors stopping by, the conversations were rich and urgent. There is a genuine appetite in the market for communication systems that perform under pressure — and that is exactly what Audiebant is built to do.
Why This Moment Matters: Martyn’s Law
The timing of The Security Event could not have been more significant. On 15 April 2026, the Home Office officially published the Section 27 Statutory Guidance — providing the clearest roadmap yet for what is required before Martyn’s Law comes into full effect in April 2027. Martyn’s Law, officially the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, is UK legislation to strengthen public safety by requiring robust counter-terrorism preparedness. Named in honour of Martyn Hett, who lost his life in the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing, it was secured through the campaigning of his mother, Figen Murray. Audiebant
That reality was palpable across the show floor. Visitors wanted to understand not just what the law requires, but how to meet it in practice. The passing of Martyn’s Law has put increased responsibilities on venues and events to ensure they are prepared for terrorism and emergencies — and Audiebant is built around exactly the kind of clear, AI-enhanced, multi-channel communication the guidance calls for. A Company Moving at Pace
Audiebant’s safety communication systems are already in place across more than 600 client sites, spanning education, healthcare and various corporate sectors. We have launched in the US, completed installations across Europe including Luxembourg, and our distributor network now spans dozens of countries. Audiebant will use the investment funds to develop its SaaS technology, including its patent-pending multilingual outdoor unit and AI emergency response platform, and to expand its global footprint. Attending The Security Event is a reminder of just how global the challenge of public safety has become — and how much opportunity there is to make a real difference.
Conversations That Count
Beyond the demonstrations, the real value of a show like this is the connections it enables. We spoke with professionals working through Martyn’s Law compliance, integrators looking to add a best-in-class mass communication solution to their portfolios, and technology partners exploring how Audiebant works alongside access control, CCTV and fire safety infrastructure.
The Security Event 2026 reinforced something we believe deeply: safety is not a box-ticking exercise. It is a culture, a commitment and increasingly a legal obligation. Audiebant is proud to be at the heart of that conversation.
Thank You
A huge thank you to everyone who visited Stand 5/B55 and took the time to speak with the team. If we didn’t connect on the day, we would love to hear from you.
