Bett 2026 brought together education professionals from across the world and through our conversations on the Audiebant stand, it was evident that schools everywhere face the same challenges around commuicaiton.
Whether speaking with visitors from the UK, Europe, North America or further afield, there was strong recognition of the value of a system that supports both day-to-day communication and critical situations, without adding complexity for staff. Many conversations naturally turned to the role of reliable emergency communication in schools and how confidence in those systems underpins safe learning environments.
What we heard on the Bett show floor
Across three busy days at ExCeL London, we spoke to educators, trust leaders and technology teams who were all grappling with communication pressures. Schools need to communicate quickly and clearly, not just in emergencies but throughout the school day.
Many of those conversations revealed something else too: communication risks often go unnoticed until a critical moment exposes them. For some, Bett was the first time they had stepped back to consider whether their existing systems and processes would really stand up under pressure.
What generated the strongest interest was Audiebant’s approach to communication as one joined-up system. Visitors were particularly engaged by our audio-first approach – widely recognised as the most effective way to get messages to people quickly – supported by screen-based alerts and the mobile app. Together, this creates a familiar, trusted school safety alert system that is used daily for routine communication and relied upon during critical and emergency incidents, including school lockdown alerts.
When staff use a system every day, it becomes instinctive. In high-pressure situations, that confidence and muscle memory can make a real difference.
One system, designed to work together
Many of the conversations we had at Bett highlighted just how varied communication provision is across education. While some schools are managing multiple tools that don’t integrate well, others told us they have very little in place at all when it comes to a dedicated communication system, leaving them relying instead on informal or improvised processes.
In both cases, the risk is the same: confusion or delay when time matters most.
There was strong interest in how Audiebant’s products work together to create a single, coherent communication ecosystem – one that supports safeguarding, operational coordination and emergency response without requiring staff to switch platforms or learn new processes.
For education teams, this joined-up approach reduces risk, simplifies training and supports consistency across sites and trusts.
Reconnecting with schools already using Audiebant
A particular highlight of Bett 2026 was the opportunity to reconnect with a number of our existing customers. Seeing schools and trusts already using Audiebant reinforced the real-world value of communication systems that are trusted and embedded into daily operations.
Hearing directly from customers about how they rely on Audiebant for routine coordination and in case of critical incidents was a powerful reminder that effective audio, screen and mobile app communication underpins safe, confident learning environments.
Learning Without Limits, Built on Safe and Trusted Communication
Learning without limits is an ambitious, important movement and one that aims to expand opportunity, inclusion and access across education. For this vision to succeed, it needs to be built on solid foundations.
Schools cannot remove limits from learning unless they are within environments that are safe, protected and well-connected. Learners need to feel secure. Staff need to feel confident. This all relies on communication systems that work every day, not just when things go wrong.
When safety and communication are treated as essential infrastructure it allows education communities to focus on what really matters: teaching, learning and supporting every individual to succeed.
