Check-in timers: Staff set a timer when entering an area or starting a task. If they don’t check out before the allotted time, a notification is automatically sent to the first responders.

Can multiple team members respond to the same alert?

Yes. Currently, the system allows as many first response users as needed to attach themselves to an active incident. This ensures that for serious events, you can have a coordinated team approach rather than relying on a single person.

How does the fall detection handle different types of phones?

Fall detection uses the motion detector chips built into the user’s smartphone. Because different devices have different hardware, the system is calibrated to account for varying height and impact parameters, ensuring the most reliable detection possible regardless of the handset.

What is the range of the Bluetooth Wearable button?

The button has a range of approximately 50 metres. As a rule of thumb, the button should be kept in the same room as the smartphone it is paired with to ensure an instant, uninterrupted signal.

Will my team miss an alert if their phone is on silent?

No. The First Response App uses critical alert permissions to ensure that emergency notifications are heard. The system is designed to override silent modes and DND settings, playing a high priority alarm at full volume. This ensures that even if a responder is in a meeting or away from their device, the call for help is never missed.
