St Francis of Assisi Catholic College

“The comfort and the confidence that any leader can have in the system is really important. It allows us to respond to emergencies in a controlled, communicative way.” Luke Salkeld, Headteacher

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic College introduced the Audiebant lockdown and communication system across its Walsall school. The school has already seen improvements in emergency responsiveness, daily communication efficiency and school-wide safety confidence.

The school needed a system that could respond dynamically to emergencies, replacing the outdated bell system that was inflexible, overly complicated and potentially risky.

“The old bell system was never fit for purpose. It was linear, inflexible and overcomplicated, it didn’t give us any real way to respond to emergencies as they happened.

In a heightened situation, people might be frightened. Clear communication is paramount. Audiebant allows us to communicate calmly and concisely.”

Luke Salkeld, Headteacher

Clear, concise communication was essential for both staff and students, particularly in heightened situations. The school required a solution capable of reaching all areas quickly and reliably.

Staff across multiple departments needed to be able to use the system intuitively, via desktops, tablets and mobile devices.
