Overview
Audiescreen V2 is our next-generation visual alerting platform that works alongside Audiebant Audio
This guide explains:
1. What’s Changing and Why
Audiescreen V1 Retirement
- 1 March 2026: Audiescreen V1 stops working.
- To continue receiving alerts, V2 must be installed before this date.
New Features in Audiescreen V2
- Lock Screen Alerts (Windows): Alerts now display on the Windows lock screen, ensuring visibility even when devices are locked or unattended.
- Custom Notifications: Full control over alert appearance and sound, including full screen, centre screen, and ticker-style notifications. You can also customise colours, sounds, and per-message settings such as auto-close timing.
- Improved Text-to-Speech (TTS): AI-powered TTS improvements ensure alerts are communicated clearly and precisely.
2. What You Need To Do and When?
Step 1: Be Aware of the Deadline
- March 1st: Audiescreen V1 stops working.
- V2 must be installed before this date to continue receiving alerts.
Step 2: Prepare for Firewall Rule Changes
- Firewall rules will change with V2 to simplify management and standardise across multiple sites.
- Updated firewall documentation will be provided closer to your rollout date.
- No action is required yet.
Step 3: Install Audiescreen V2 (First-Time Manual Install)
V2 introduces a licence key model with no cost impact.
- The first installation must be done manually.
- Customer Success Team Support: Your Customer Success Manager will guide you through the installation process.
- Work with your Customer Success Manager early to ensure a smooth deployment.
Step 4: Familiarise Yourself with V2 Features
We recommend:
- Reviewing notification styles
- Testing Text to Speech improvements
- Planning how custom notifications will be used in your environment
More configuration guides will be provided as your rollout approaches.
3. How the Upgrade Works?
Our Customer Success Team will reach out to you when V2 is available. They will guide you through the setup process and let you know when the installers are available in your admin portal. As always, we will be providing continued support throughout the new installation.
4. Firewall Changes
- Rules will be simplified and standardised across sites.
- Full documentation will be shared before your rollout window.
- Please wait for official documentation before making firewall changes.
You do not need to action firewall changes yet. A separate email/ information will be sent and information will be added to this page when Firewall update documents are ready to share.
5. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do I need to upgrade?
Yes. Audiescreen V1 will stop working on 1 March 2026, so upgrading to V2 is essential to continue receiving alerts. Your Customer Success Manager will work closely with you to ensure a smooth transition.
Will this cost more?
No. The move to a licence key model does not increase your costs.
Can I keep using V1 after March 1st?
No. Alerts will no longer be delivered on V1.
Do I need to touch every device?
Yes, only for the initial V2 installation. After that, updates are automatic.
What if we’re not ready by March 1st?
Please contact our Customer Success Team as soon as possible to discuss your rollout timeline.
Can we customise alerts differently for different scenarios?
Yes. Audiescreen V2 allows per-message notification settings, including visual style, sound and TTS behaviour.
When will firewall documentation be available?
